Community Health Survey 2018
The Community Health Survey is a component of the triennial, shared Community Health Needs Assessment sponsored by the health system members of the Milwaukee Health Care Partnership.
Conducted in Milwaukee county since 2003, the approximately 18-minute phone survey addresses adult and child health risk factors, health behaviors and perceptions of pressing community health needs. It is based on the CDC's Behavioral risk Factor Surveillance Survey, and includes more than 70 questions related to health care access, routine screenings, immunizations, injury prevention, communicable diseases, mental health, chronic disease, women's health, tobacco and alcohol use, diet, physical activity and other health behaviors.
The 2015 community health survey represented, 1,967 Milwaukee residents scientifically selected so that surveys would be representative of all city or county adults 18 years old and older. The sample of random telephone numbers included both listed and unlisted numbers. Respondents within each household were randomly selected using the Hagen/Collier selection technique.
